Correct me if I'm wrong... Isn't that pretty much useless unless you have the CARB EO # stamped on the Vortech kit itself? I had to smog my friends Civic Si w/ Greddy 50 State Legal headers on, but at the time he bought it (right when it came out) they were not yet CARB certified. I brought the car to 4 different SMOG shops and they would not pass me for visual even when I brought the Greddy catalog with the picture and statement of being CARB certified w/the CARB EO #. I ended up having to bring the car to the smog referee. So my question is what about the people that bought the Vortech Supercharger before it was actually CARB legalized?

No worry. That # DOES NOT need to be on the blower. I have a 7 page doucment that we can fax to you DIRECTLY from CARB. No smog station in the world could argue with that. Thats the way nearly all of our systems start out. Its like a pardon letter directly from the president

Just a question... isnt any modifcations to your car considered illegal? For example if a cop pulled you over for any given reason and had you open your hood. can they site a ticket for any modifications done on your car? Even if they are carb approved?

Carb approved is all you need. I can sue you for anything. You can be ticked for anything. However, when it comes down to it, in the end there isn't anything that matters other then whats legal and in print. CARB D-213-18 is you excemption ticket. I've heard if you remove working smog components thats not legal(ie. dropping the cat and using a test pipe) However, you are adding a component and not removing one. The CARB number is all you need.
