The problem is some people confirm that the Vortech will provide replacment injectors to 2003 model which i think they know they have some serious a/f problem. They should not release a product which will harm our cars! At least the Comptech kit has richer a/f ratio, so it is doable!

I did not receive any replacement injectors in the vortech kit that I received this past Thursday. I have an MY03. Vortech had stated in a web site news release that their MY03 kits were shipped with replacement injectors.

340 rwhp!

Nice!

I wonder what pulley vortech shipped your kit with?

make sure to check the a/f ratio after installation. The first vortech kit my turner installed has 260whp with proper a/f. So, i would say this vortech kit is not very consistence on hp and a/f for some reason. Adding replacment injectors may explain something! No matter how much extra i got, i just don't want to blow my motor.

I did call vortech and they said the kit does not come with replacments injectors! Also poor tech support!
They were blaiming the a/f sample i took at the exhaust tip making the a/f ratio lean!!! But i think the difference at the sampling points (before and after the cat.) will make no more than 0.5 different. So, my a/f still very lean before the correction factors.
Please correct me!

I,m amazed your getting 340rwhp, I just finished my install of a model year 03 Vortech, and I get 275rwhp on an otherwise stock car (my 2000) with a good a/f ratio across the whole rev range.

Are you sure the Dyno was calibrated properly?

You can see my dyno results on this thread:

What does your dyno look like can you post it for comparison?

kstokell,
Well my car is the second vortech s2000 built by my turner. The first one has the same kit and using same dyno but had richer a/f about 12.5 avg. but 260rwhp. So, i would say my car has very different a/f and hp. Don't ask me why! But too much power is not good in my case!
Do you recive replacment injectors with your 03 vortech kit? I asked vortech and they said they don't provide replacment injectors.

Also i can get boost before vtech. My max boost is 7.5psi.
My graph looks like the following: hp, a/f, rpm
120,13.75,4000-----125,14,4500-----140,13.4,5000
160,13.25,5500-----195,13.15,6000-----230,14.25,6350
250,14.0,7000-----275,14.1,7500-----305,13.8,8000
320,13.7,8500-----335,13.5,8800
My a/f sample taken from exhaust tip which i think will be 0.5 leaner.
Other members has run into a/f problem as well! But i am the only one making too much of power and boost.

I didn't receive any replacement injectors, and my a/f sample was also taken from the exhaust tip.
I havn't had mine fine tuned yet I'm hoping to do that when I get round to installing a "VAFC". Then I intend to even out the a/f mix across the rev band and also lower the VTEC engagement point,

The dyno I get at the moment is purely based on a standard Vortech SC placed on a stock car, with no other mods at all.
