Octane booster fouls your O2 sensors/spark plugs.

Boo hoo! We've had 91 octane gas in Utah for as long as I can remember(I'm only 16). I took a road trip to Las Vegas and had to get 90 octane gas at some small town in Southern Utah! I say deal with it. Besides California isn't the ONLY place in the whole entire world that has 91 octane gas. Sorry for my harsh reply, but I'm sick of hearing people drone on about how bad their cars are on 91 octane gas when they've only had it for a year. Try 91 octane gas @ 4000 ft. elevation, then come back to me and b*tch all you want.

Now, to answer your question. Honda recommends 92 octane for a stock S2000, but they say 85 octane is alright, no detonation, just decreased power. Translation: The kit will be fine, you just won't have the same power as those "92 octane guys".

I was using octane booster for awhile until I noticed the tail pipe getting brown deposits. I also checked the plugs when I retorqued them and they were completely brown.

I switched back to 1/2 91 1/2 100 octane and the tailpipe stays clean again.

Aftermarket ecu is the reason for these measures.

Im not bi*ching, if you read the original post be for you speak you would know that the only reason Im asking is because VORTECH says to run 92 octane or higher on their SUPERCHARGER which Im installing soon. Around here we only have 91 and I just wanted to know what people thought about it. Some people man.

You actually have decreased octane requirements at higher elevations.

just move to TX, 93 octane everywhere for 1.49 a gallon, no state income tax. hell that savings alone on no state income tax would purchse vortech supercharges twice a year fo CA residents, wouldn't it?

get out of CA and move to Big TX.
