I have the same knob.

If you used a fresh tube of Blue threadlocker, shook it, and applied a few drops to the threads, then left it on overnight, it should be perfect. Mine has been.

And I too am amazed that some peeps missed that the whole threadlock issue is predicated by the need to align the shift pattern, which could only be done without threadlocker by sheer coincidence that the rod threads, the knob threads, and the owner's hand strength perfectly aligned.

Or the knob etcher could screw the bare knob down all the way and align it BEFORE etching the pattern on there. But maybe each car's shift lever is different. Either that, or it's just too much to ask.

Or, screw the knob on, with the shift pattern displayed correctly, and have it fairly "tight" in this position. Then, screw the lock nut up towards the shift knob, and gently use a wrench to tighten it a bit past your hand strength.

Those knobs are supposed to screw on tightly. You probably got a "defective" knob. I've never had a Voodoo, but had a Muz, and it screwed on very tightly and securely.

As for locktite, I don't like it. It's like glue for metal. It makes taking off very hard. I like the knobs that screw on without any help from locktite or any other thing. Muz is nice!
