violent engine shaking! help!
hey guys, after filling up at texaco, i experienced violent engine shaking. i mean hardcore shaking - you could feel it in the steering wheel and pedals, and somewhat in the seats. it was that strong. anyways, i thought it was the plugs, so i did the normal check: pull the plug wires one by one with the engine running to see if there's a change (no change = bad plug).
on cylinder #3, when i pulled the wire, the engine didn't shudder like it did when i pulled the #1 & #2 wires. i assumed it was a bad plug so i replaced them. it didn't solve it. i tried replacing the wires; they didn't fix it either.
this all happened after filling up at texaco, so i was kinda thinking it was the gas. i decided to take it to the dealership but on the way it all smoothed out!
it disappeared over the course of about 1.5 miles. it was running like new again.
anyway, it just started happening again after i filled up (and spilled) at chevron. what's da deal?!?
could the fuel be f*ing my engine that bad? i've always used premium, and i usually use chevron or texaco, but i am really clueless...
help me!

Same thing happened to me right after i filled up with gas. Turned out to be a bad fuel injector on the same cylinder. If it does it again try moving the injector from #3 to #1 and see if your problem moves. Dont know if this is the same problem but it might save you some time since it takes about 5 mins to move the injectors.

it's a MY2000 and i have nearly 45k miles.
i've changed fuel filter (this is the 4th time total) because i thought it was "dirty" fuel. it didn't help.
i guess i'll try switching injectors...
thanks for the help guys
