Default Vinyl on my headlights

Hey guys,
I want to get eyebrows/lids for my car but i dont feel like buying them, since there kinda expensive for 2 pieces of plastic then need to paint.
I have a "vinyl guy" and was thinking of making a template, then cutting the vinyl to put on the headlights. do you think the headlights will be ruined? the ABS plastic ones stick to it using 3M tape...the sticky vinyl is 3M. will the headlight get hot enough to bune the glue. think if i pull them off they will be real foggy and getting the glue off?
thanks

Not even close. The metal body of the car gets significantly hotter on summer days and people put vinyl all over that.

It'll be fine on the headlight. Just make sure you don't use a razor to remove it later.

TRUE^

but the headlight lense is plexiglass right?
when removing the vinyl dont they usually use some substance other then water...you know with chemicals. wonder if that substance will eat through the plastic lense?

kinda like gasoline in a plastic cup

I also see people put clear bra strips on their headlights, this seems to confirm that the headlights don't get hot enough to damage the 3M vinyl that you'll be using.

vinyl will prob cost 5 bux...if anything the eyebrows will stick up(yes a little amount but it will) ABS...someone can take them. ive had one taken on my civic. granted not to many S2's around here so for someone to take it would be pointless but...people will take anything.
ABS also breaks. ive had a rock shatter one aswell.
Berlina black is a regualr gloss black...same as gloss vinyl.

metallic would be a different story
