Vibration coming from the rear end

Hey OP,
I have this same issue as well, I also have my own thread on it describing it in more detail. https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/109...#entry23304458
I've suspected that it may be switching to Amsoil 75w110 having caused some sort of differential damage. I'm going to try switching back to LE-1605 to see if that alleviates the issue, but the damage may be done.
May I ask you some questions, what diff oil are you using, and how many miles do you have on your car?

my vibration has gotten worse, and because of that...it has become more apparent that this is the CV joint pitting/wear.
I'm going to use the spacers and see if that fixes it. (already swapped left to right 100K miles ago, so i'm going to swap back and use spacers).

The CV axles, what type of Grease did you use not brand? How much, and did you swap them from one side to the other?
Check the differential mounts and hardware to make sure everything is tight. The diff its self is rare to vibrate. Also the rear shocks can cause this issue as well.

My son's 04 has a vibration/rumble upon acceleration, especially noticeable during Vtec in lower gears.
From the reading I've done, I was told it was the CV joints, and is common enough on the S when it gets higher mileage.
My son's 04 he bought last August a year ago, only has 79k miles, and he has put only less than 2k miles on it in that time.

I havent had time to check the drive shaft but i have a feeling that could be the problem. Fingers crossed. let me know if you resolve the problem

let me know what you find out with the driveshaft, my driveshaft seems okay, i am using driveshaftshop steel driveshaft.
if you read from my other thread, i am suspecting it is damage or excessive wear in the diff.
i just ordered amsoil severe gear 190w gear oil and their slip lock additive.
will update when i do that fluid change on any results i find.

everything i've read regarding vibration with light throttle at a specific highway speed points to the inner cv joints.
i'm going to bite the bullet and get new ones.

Hey guys, its finally fixed no vibration.
In my case it was the driveshaft/ propeller shaft. I noticed it had some play and like a rattle so i took it to andres at kab customs and he switched out the drive shaft.
The shaft was out of balanced and caused it to spin wrong, but now its fixed and i couldnt be happier
Thanks for all the input, glad to have it fixed.
