Default Vibration after installing lowering springs !

Hi,

Last thursday I've put lowering springs on my car and I was very happy with the drop and slightly improved handling but after my install, the car started to vibrate after 60mph up until 140 with an increasing manner. My friends told me to do a wheel balancing and alignment...and so I did... But, the problem wasn't solved at all..

So today, I took off the lowering springs and installed back my stock springs. The problem mainly disappeared but there's still a very little vibration from the rear which wasn't there before. Tomorrow, I will try wheel alignment and balancing with the stock springs back on but I don't think that will solve anything.

So at the moment, I have a permanent vibration from the rear although I returned the car to it's stock setup. What do you guys think about this problem? Could the lowering springs affected my car balancing for good.. or this could be solved with a new alignment check with the new stock setup ? And what else should I check with my car ?

Thanks in advance,

Make sure the springs are sitting in their purches correctly and also align the car adjusting the camber and caster. If this doesn't work look at the bottom end of the car to see if you accidently bent any component of the suspension during driving, ie. sway bar etc. Also you could of blown a strut so check for any oil discharge around the struts themselves as this is common when setting the ride height lower then the approximated travel of the strut. Hope this helps!

i would personally double check your work.. it could be some loose bolts that you forgot to tighten back up or possibly that you didnt put your rear wheels on correctly..( ive seen that before, alot actually..)

Lowering the car should have been accompanied by an alignment. However, since you are still noticing the vibration slightly now that you've got the stock setup back, did you torque all the nuts and bolts while the car was "unsprung"? If so, that may be your problem. The nuts and bolts should be torqued with the suspension "loaded".

Thanks for all your quick replies guys your suggestions sounds logical...

Well, I have double checked all my connections with the lowering springs and with the stock springs and everything seemed to be in order so I don't think this will be ana installing mistake. Today I'll get a new alignment with my stock springs maybe this will cut the vibration and then I'm thinking about taking my car to my dealer to check for everything...
