What Billman said. I had this issue approx 4 months ago, it seemed to be getting drastically worse. I swapped the buckets for zero monies myself and the car drives great. Another 100k and I may actually have to buy new ones

There is a good writeup on here and is not too bad of a job, it was very messy though, although I think I made it worse than it was.

my buddy agreed to do it for me for real cheap, hes ASE certified and worked at a high performance shop down here for years. the car will be in much better hands than myself lol! great to hear that this is a cost free fix though.

Why does switching the buckets work again? And does switching the buckets solve the issue? Or will it return just as fast? I seem to remember seeing people having the issue with not that many miles on the car.

It works because you are using a different surface of the bucket (where the pitting occurs). They are rotating the opposite way. After you swap them, the 'bad' side is your reverse.

Interesting thread info. I get a weird vibration at 70-75 only. And it comes and goes about every one second(count out loud one one thousand). This leads me to think it is something rotational...Thought it was rear tire balance but got em done, and didn't help. Guess i'll check the CV's next!

Depends on the mileage as well and it could be at any speed. One day my car started shaking literally as if im on a bumpy road. This swap did a night and day fix and as billman pointed out, it was the drivers side bucket that showed wear.
