It's actually closer to a very, very deep purple.

I've autocrossed a Type V while in Japan. Unfortuately it was a very tight course and it was raining to boot. My overall impression? I couldn't even tell the system was there!
Cool. I really liked the variable ratio steering on the Camaro everywhere other than on the autocross courses. Do you know if the Type V steering gets confused the way our standard EPS does when the back tires are spinning?

Do you have a link to the pictures S2KPUDDYDAD mentioned?

Didn't notice anything VGS related at all to be honest.

I don't have a pic of the particular car we drove in my s2ki gallery, but I'll check my computer when I get home. Hhere's the venue, at least - a wet Motegi. We did the little autocross in an adjacent parking lot.

They had posted allot of nice pics from there trip Before I came on here as a guest I would visit the sight to read up on the S2 If I had joined up back when I was just a voyeur I would have 6 stars now

When I seen the VGS wheel for the first time I was in love And when it was said here and on other sights that it could not be fitted to another car I was even more sold on having one
My first ever S2000 meet and I roll up with a VGS wheel fitted in my car. No intake or exhaust and stock wheels but, I was still a Baller

Is your shifter/shift gate combo a one off? or do you sell them?

It is a one off I built a few years back It is a lot of fun to use, it is nearly a ratchet shift the gears are that close I can build a full individual gate like Ferrari but I think the throw will be to long and not as fun.

Elistan, that's just too cool. I probably wasn't interested at the time, but now I'm sorry I missed the old threads discussing your trip.

S2KPUDDYDAD, I like your open gate better than the Ferrari type. I don't know how the newer Fiat/Ferrari cars are, but the old cars use to flex enough to cause problems when trying to shift during hard cornering. The cool looking plate just made it harder to get the shifter where it needed to be. Your design looks problem free (and very cool).

Do you get any buzzing or extra noise?

Could you build me one lol! That shift gate is the coolest thing ive seen in a loong time. Very creative, very original. Would the gate mess with the stock shifter/throw pattern?

The shift plate will not work with a stock shifter, it is way to thick. The shaft of the shifter I built is only 3/8" thick
