Very grabby clutch

Default Very grabby clutch

Hey i just picked up my s2k not that long ago. The previous owner did had an aftermarket clutch put in but hes not really sure which one. I talked to the garage that did it but it was a while ago so they werent sure either. They thought it was a competition stage 2 and competition flywheel. Either way iv driven several cars with racing clutch and this one by far is the most grabby. The car either wants to stall or spin the wheels. Im getting used to it now but it still requires a good amount of slipping. The part thats throwing me off is that the clutch grabs differently depending on the incline the car is on. Believe it or not its actually much easier to take off if the car is rolling backwards. The clutch seems to grabs about half way up and slip much smoother. When the car is rolling forward or flat it doesnt really seem to grab until higher up and it much more jerky. Its the weirdest thing. Rolling forward is like a nightmare unless you slip the shit out of the clutch which is hard because the point were it start to engage to were its fully engaged feels like a half an inch of movement in the clutch, unlike uphill where it feels like theres a couple inches to slip it. Sorry if that sounded confusing.

Yeah i was thinking it might be a pucked clutch as well. The bottom of the clutch travel is kind of crunchy so im gonna clean up and sand the slave rod next week like i was reading. Is there enough opening to peak inside the bell housing from there or no?
