I've never seen my AP2 go below 26 mpg, and that's is like 90% city (I don't live close enough to the freeway or highway to use it much)

i know somethings not right but i just can't figure it out
exhaust smells very rich too so i'll try to get the car in to have it checked out as soon as possible
any recommendations? should i go to dealer or just other shops??
and what should they look for?

My worst observed fuel economy was 17.7 mpg over half a tank, and then two tanks later I do a little bit of highway driving (~50% by miles) and I'm over at 24.9 mpg.
