I'm waiting for the arrival of the cams, should be the next week or two. I haven't ordered the SMT-6 yet, because I was REALLY hoping that Hondata would give us an ECU since they have researched it, but it doesn't appear to be a high priority for them. the SMT-6 is full featured and can interface with the f20c's coil packs so I hope it'll be a nice tuning solution even though it's a piggy back.... we'll see. I hope to have everything together in the next 4 weeks.

Cool, definitely let me know when you're going to ULs. Would love to stop by and check it out.

I read up a little bit on the SMT-6. First time ever hearing about it though. Is it a well known piggy-back computer? Was it recommended?

I'm also waiting for the Hondata but if that doesn't happen, I may go the v-afc, SMT-6 or e-manage route.

I don't want the vafc. I was hoping the e-manage would be a good route, but it can't do timing, so it's really just an expensive vafc, IMO. You can get a complete rundown of the SMT-6 features here: www.perfectpower.com

I'm going this way because the smt-6 is half the cost of the EMS and I'm not interested in doing a ground-up tune on the EMS (yet). the smt-6 is very robust, has good resolution for maps, on the fly map switching, vtec control, nitrous map, all kinds of goodies. I'd say it's closer to the EMS, but I'm not a ECU guru so I could be full of hot air Mostly it's the fact that it connects to the coil packs and isn't much more than a vafc (meaning closer to vafc cost than EMS cost) that is the reason I chose it. Time will tell.

Beroz- yes, I hope so too. My car already needs tuning and I'm sure the cams will throw it even farther out of wack. All we can do is try

There really isn't any reason for top end losses. Tuning (fuel, etc.) won't make a big difference with cams. And we don't have adjustable sprockets available to us.

Aligning the cams properly can be tough. Did you recheck that Beroz?

No I have not UL..... I will check that......
Or maybe the installer switched the exhaust and the intake cams.... Is this possible?
I am busy finishing my exam and paper... its due tomorrow..... I will check both the alignment and I/E cams Tuesday nite.
I will also be calling up TODA....
Thanks for the help and moral support guys....

UL,
Could it be a restriction problem. maybe my intake or header or exhaust could be restricting the flow and not allowing it to reach its max potential?????.
GDPzS2000,
Please keep us updated too... as I said earlier hopefully its only me and hopefully the problem can be fixed.... Good luck...

loosing 20 at the top and gaining 15 at the mid is not worth $1600.00.

I would rather spend 1k on the header to get 10 more to the wheels. I think the results suck and I wouldn't be happy at all.

NOPE!!! Car wouldn't even start/run if that were the case. A person I know did that with the V1's and everybody was like .
