[QUOTE=JFUSION,Jun 16 2010, 05:03 PM] valve seal rot ?, I personally don't think that would be the case, although they could shrink over time without use.

I had a Honda motor with a bad valve guide seal a few years back, it showed up very definitively as wetness on the spark plug for that cylinder. If you are having oil control issues it might be worth looking at the plugs. It wouldn't hurt to check them either way to make sure they were installed at the proper torque as per the recall notice in the earlier years. (18 ft lbs.).

the actual oil level hasnt even dropped to be noticable, and i have almost 1000miles, just so you get an idea that its not like puffin smoke all the time lol ! also as i said above the oil level is like 1mm OVER the H line. could that be a prob ?
You don't have an oil consumption problem at all. A quart in 1000 miles would be borderline problem...

Then why are you concerned about it? Some oil consumption is perfectly acceptable, especially in the 2.0 engines.

if your seals were leaking they would show up on the base of the spark plugs - wet oily appearance vs. dry appearance. Your consumption is likely somewhere else.
