FYI,
buying 32 valve keeper is not going to be cheap...
u can use magnetic to keep keepers from flying out.

Titanium, while light, is also pretty soft. It WILL deform over time (like billman said, about 15K miles).

Bought a Compression Tester today (mainly for the spark plug air compressor hookup) and rented an overhead valve compressor from Autozone. It looks similar to the one above but I won't know if it will fit until I try it I guess.

This is what I'm talking about. Everyone claims this, yet Honda uses Ti for the NSX rods? It just doesn't add up and there is nobody here that has had a Ti retainer fail.

Well, the job is done. The short of it is that 3 retainers were cracked, one of them in 2 places. At least another 4 retainers were dished. Also, the valve stem seals looked worn on the inside (the plastic part), maybe I should have replaced these...
I'll post pics when I get home.

I, too, am on the verge of replacing my retainers.
I am leaning towards purchasing '04 retainers. Does anyone know if the '04 is a direct replacement for the ap1 retainers (any modification needed to make the '04's fit/ work)?
I was interested in the Ti retainers, but the thought of them failing and the possibilty of having to replace them after ONLY 15k miles is disheartening.
I am curious, to see the pics of your retainers fyrestrike.
