Valve Spring Replacement without head removal
I'm going to be replacing the valve springs on my car soon, and wish to do this without removing the head. The air hookup to the cylinder to stop the valves dropping is no problem, however there doesn't seem to be any firm info on which tools fit for compressing the valve spring from the top. I know bridge style compressors work for this approach, but I'm concerned that reach may be a problem given the head design of the F20C.
There used to be a 'how to' on installing cams, that presumably had the info there. (URL was, http://www.nes2ko.com/how_tos/cams.htm, but the page isn't there anymore).
A search didn't produce anything fully conclusive. If you've done this job, and know a tool that fits I'd appreciate knowing what you used. It'll save me a lot of time and running around, should my existing tools not be suitable.

The helm manual says to use honda special tools:
1. VALVE SPRING COMPRESSOR ATTACHMENT, 07757-PJ10100
2. VALVE SPRING COMPRESSOR 07757 - 0010000
but it looks like you have to take off the head to use them. maybe you can use #1 without #2? dunno...see if summit racing has anything for valve springs on a honda civic or acura integra. its probably the same for the s2000.

snap on sells the specific valve spring compressor tool that will fit the deep and tight space in the head. You can do this with the head on the car. Cost of the tool is roughly $200.00.

Yes, but there's a big learning curve.
