valve noise... possible tap

I might be getting in late with this, but: With a cold motor, put the intakes at .009" and the exhausts at .011". There should be slight drag at these numbers. These numbers are at the middle of spec (in=.008-.010", ex=.010-.012"). Be careful about crank rotation, make it exact. As a test before buttoning up, rotate the crank one time and check that .013" should be a no-go for exhausts and .011" should be no-go for intakes. No-go means that that thickness will not fit at all.

so the other day i decided to do compression test... the front 2 cyl were between 170 and 180 and the back 2 were around 210 .. which isnt good at all...but im like 95 percent sure its not a head gasket problem... no fluid loss and blow pass threw the rad...hopefully the prob is just the valves and not the piston rings.. i mean its not that far off.. but its not within spec... so im not a happy camper right now.. and it is running a little rough at idle... most likely due to the compression differences
