Will an AP2 valve cover fit AP1 head?

I know they are different on the sensors and stuff... but i just want it to keep my head closed till mines gets powder coated....

any stuff i need to be aware of? (cam gears grinding, ignition coils not going all the way down, screws etc etc)

The 00-05 valve covers are interchangeable, though the 00-03 and 04-05 are different. The 04-05 has a superior PCV valve design that will have a lot less oil blow-by.

The 06+ is for the 06+ only.

The exception is that if you have a Hondata ECU on a 00-05, you need a 06+ valve cover, as you're changing out all of the sensors.

Honestly pack everything with clean shop towels and close your hood and you'll be fine. I have a month long build and kept everything clean and covered that way. Though a thick plastic sheet on top for good measure.

To answer your question....06-09 cover will safely fit without clearance issues. Of course it won't run because of sensor changes.

There are two different AP2 valve cover. 04-05 will fit. 06-09 will fit but won't start up.
