the valve gasket is well below the oil cap, so i doubt it is the valve cover.

if it is only a little oil, i wouldn't be concerned, probably slight spillage when the cover was turned upside down. or maybe he topped off the oil for you and spilled a bit.

not sure if it was coming from the spark plug tube, because i just replace the seal and i think that might caused it.

If it is coming from near the oil cap then the oil may have dripped when the valve cover was installed. If you clean up the oil and it is still showing running oil I would make sure the cap is on tight, also the actual cap seal may be faulty.

If the oil is coming from the spark plug area inspect them to find the faulty gasket.

This is very common too, when someone installs the valve cover back on they forget to use gasket sealer for the corners, or to hold the gasket in and it gets pinched when they install it.

Hope this helps, the easiest way is to clean all the mess up and then inspect after every drive.

i don't recall the service manual mentioning to use gasket sealer on the corners for the valve cover gasket.

It does not.

the only place on on the head to use that is around the timing chain opening between the block and head. the valve cover is just that rubber gasket.

I agree, you tore one of the spark plug tube seals when you installed them.

got it fix. i found out one of the bolt was not tighten down enough. the bolt is right next to the oil cap under the valve cover. The oil started to leak out from the bolt then drip down to top left (Header side). Problem fix. =)
