Some CEL's will go away on their own, they are saved in memory though, just that the light may turn off depending on the type of code and if the condition stops.

It takes 3 driving cycles for a CEL to turn off even if you've identified and solved the problem.

Thanks for that info. Had no idea that a CEL would turn off on its own. I have never had this happen. So I guess I've fixed all the problems except the low compression in cylinder 4. Cleaned the IAC valve and I bypassed the IACV and throttle body coolant lines because I had coolant leaking from under the TB onto my alternator. The hose looked fine but it was leaking at both ends. Another member posted doing this last yr and has not had any issues since. I'll drive it around tomorrow and see how it goes. Thanks again to everyone for the advice and information.

Generally speaking, a valve adjustment will not correct a CEL. You have something else going on.

What does the plug look like?
How does the car idle, and run under hard throttle?

I would do a leak down test on cylinder 4 and then go from there.

A bad PCV valve can also cause a CEL. But I doubt that's the problem. I would do a leakdown test, to cylinder 4. You don't even need a tester, just a way to put air pressure into the cylinder at TDC, put 100psi in the cylinder and you'll know exactly where it's coming from.

This.

When I had low compression on cylinder 3 (~130 psi) I could hear the air screaming through the exhaust valve. I'm sure it would be just about as loud any other path
