I'm experiencing the same problems after I replaced my engine with a track built one. (see my thread)

I don't have to adjust my valves though, but the symptoms are very similar...

I know for sure I don't have the stock valve springs and retainers. That's all I know about the engine sadly.

The timing of this thread is unreal. I just got a p0172 code again.. which means I have to redo the valve lash. Second time since my head rebuild done late last year

valve lash? what is that? where did you get your head rebuild done and did they use oem replacements aftermarket parts such as supertech?

Just to let everyone know, we took out the cylinder head and it turned out to be some horribly f@#ked up valve guides that was causing my issue. There was so much side to side play on my valves. Thank god for head rebuilds.
