Valve adjustment
I've adjusted the valves with minute detail and torqued the nuts to the 14ft lbs as in the service manual.
After about 700 miles they have begun to tick again, I'm wondering whats the max torque anyone has applied to these nuts, I don't want to do any damage....
Or has anyone else had a similar problem and replaced the nuts to fix the problem, a last resort would be to remove the rocker arm assembly and replace the adjusting screws.

same things happened to me...but from what I have been told, if you hear nothing then your in trouble.
If you take your valve cover off again you will see that everything should still be spec'd correctly, at least for he it was. The S2000 engine is just noisy, kinda something you just need to learn and love.
Good luck

maybe your torque wrench is not calibrated well enough to get a good reading on 14 lb/ft. perhaps you should try tightening a little more...if you're experienced you can get a good feel of the torque by just torquing with your hand. however, this is not recommended if you are not experienced or do not have a good feel for tension/torque.

Properly adjusted valves on the s2k will stay put for 70-100k miles, and will not tick. Even if they are a few thousandths loose.
I have confirmed this on my car (90k miles and adjustment remains .008 and .010) and many other s2ks with 50k miles or so on the current adjustment.

I'm experienced enough not to use a torque wrench for something as low as 14ft lbs so I didn't the first time.
The second time I borrowed a calibrated wrench from work.
I'm gonna see what 25-30ft lbs feels like Saturday morning, fingers crossed
