Default valve adjustment

silver ap1 106k never had valve adjust, no codes, ran fine, no noise. had a few very tight valves but most were a little out of spec on the tight side. yellow ap1 150k idle like shit, no noise, all misfire codes. it had 3 valves I couldn't even get any feeler gauge in.. and the rest were super tight. with both cars I had fuel injectors cleaned at the same time. you can hear the extra valve noise now with the increase in gap but sounds to me like how a Honda should sound . both cars gained a ridiculous amount of power. I raced my friends ap2 the weekend before and lost by 4 cars top of forth. now the cars are dead even. my yellow one ran like shit so no big surprise it gained power but the silver one I would have never had a idea it was missing soo much. I don't care how many miles your car has id get the valves and injectors done!

I did mine too yesterday, ap2. I was wondering if its normal for the valves to make some/little noise or did i leave them to loose?

You're most likely hearing the injectors ticking. They're quite loud. If you think it's the valves, try posting a video of the noise.

Yes the valve train is noisy, move the rockers on it's axis. If the clearance is correct they will clack on the valve stem tips.

noisy is normal. quiet means tight valves. all my friends and my car had mostly tight valves.
