Hey Dimitry meet me for lunch and I'll tell show you what they are talking about.

Basically the fuse box has extra empty slots for accessories that may need power. You just crimp a connector at the end of the power cable and plug it in that spot. Come over and I'll do it for you

I spliced into the wire from my aftermarket radio that only turns on when the key is in the ignition, works perfect

Let me answer that for you
He has it black because thats probably the only color wire he had.
Example if he only had a neon pink wire instead of that black going to power you would see neon pink wire
Make sense now?

You happen to have the right color wire for power which is RED

Did my own creation and it worked out really well with out ****ing around with the Valentine 1 connections so whenever I sell my car the wires wont be all hacked.

I made my own Female In Female out connecter with spliced wire in the middle, just found one in the house. That way I connected the Valetine in to the female and then Female went in to Male connection on fuse box. Thanks dudes for all your help!

Wait, In regards to that photo ^^^^, that's a black wire, I thought black wire was ground. My power is red.....

So Female connecter @ Autozone, A little elctrical tape = Plug it in that spot you guys showed me. Damn no wounder that thing would come no where to fitting in there, I was like WTF is my Valentine Comrad smoking. lol
lol i wasn't using the picture as a verbatim example.

I was using it as more of a diagram to show which slot to plug it in.

but yes a power wire could be black, blue, purple, orange etc. TYPICALLY, it's black for ground and red for power, but not always. When I did my sub install awhile back, I used blue wire for ground so it seriously could be any color.

The connector that comes with the v1 is a male connector and too big to fit into that slot. You either cut that off and get a female connector, or you find something that end can plug into and then plug into the fuse box... or do it however you did it. haha.

[QUOTE=racecarpete;10430028]I think you are misreading the directions. You don't need to tap or cut anyujktht wires. Just crimp a spade connector onto your power wire for the V1. Then, plug the spade connector onto the switched 12v socket on the fuse boalreughk
