well i just installed a wideband 02 sensor but the reason i was asking was because i have heard that if you set it lower than 5k you would have to adjust valves or else it'll start knocking is that true or was i told wrong information

not sure about that because i know some boosted s2ks with their vtec set in the 3k-4k range. no reason to lower vtec under 5k if your n/a since ur not making enough power. also when you adjust vtec i dont think my a/f were to diffferent with all the settings we tried but it either lost or gained power and thats y u have to hit a dyno.

I have a vafc and lowered it to 5400. It had a smoother curve a bit lower but on the highway don't want to be in vtec all the time.
But there was a nice power gain, make sure you adjust it around 5300-5600 if your NA as a recommendation. Also, please do this on a dyno.

I take it this is safe for an AP2 as well? Ever since I put in an AP1 flywheel I've been looking to lower mine because of how much quicker the revs drop on shifts.
