vafc2 or emanage
having trouble deciding which to go with. did a search and couldnt find any major points to sway e one way or the other. they are both going to cost roughly the same(little more for the extra emanage parts)
currently just intake and exhaust. soon to be header, gears, and a new clutch. dont ever plan on going FI either. just want to get something to tune the car a bit more.
any advice is appreciated.

Nobody has even used an Ultimate E-manage on a S2000. You may be jumping the gun just a bit.
Both the E-manage and VAFC work in pretty similar ways. The E-manage can directly add fuel via the Injectors (when using the injector harness) instead of indirectly adding fuel by playing with the MAP sensor input. The E-manage has more capabilities, but you probably won't need them for a mild NA application.
The e-manage can also be programmed via a laptop, no scrolling through menus with buttons.

the E-manage ignition timing control isn't that great either.

soooo....the vafc then? like, i stated i dont plan on going crazy NA. just I/E/H and maybe a set of cams down the road if someone designs a set that are worth it(i miss my b16, cams made it a whole new engine
its only going to cost about 100 more for the emanage but if its not worth it then ill stick with the vafc. i dont care about the display of the vafc as ill likely mount it out of sight. i just want to get the most out of the few mods i plan to add.

Most people buy a VAFC for the flashy lights, if that's not an appeal for you, get the e-manage. The Greddy software is pretty easy to navigate. You'll have more options if you later decide a SC is in your future. I wouldn't expect any relatively big gains like a cam swapped B16. The F20C is pretty highly tuned allready.

drop the cash for the emanage and get cams later it IS more precise than the vafc which only modifies one signal (map) vs. emanage which can mod much more signals and it has a broader useage tuning range.

Spider S2K: I'll sell ya my AFC-II if ya want it... (I'd be cool for get 100 bucks for it to be honest) I've only put about 1000 miles on mine, and will be upgrading to AEM EMS system at the end of this month.
Side note: If your going to get a piggy back system, please make sure you buy an adapter harness to mate the AFC-II with your ECU. Otherwise your going to have to solder everything in!
