Default Vafc V1 Or Vafc V2

Hi , im about to buy a VAFC w/ harness, but now there's two versions. Since most of the people here have v.1 and have shown good gains tuning them , i was more convinced for this version. But ive heard the v.2 has more features. Can someone with experience on this explain?

Also , are the menus the same between the two versions. ex. settings, changing settings, ...

it's very simple... the VAFC one is much more user friendly.

okay, okay... it really is but besides that here's why the VAFC2 is your better bet

- The RPM to be corrected can be set in 200 RPM increments instead of 500 RPM increments (vafc1)
- knock sensor
- small, more compact
- shift- warning
- password protection (optional)
- one new display option

that's all I can think of off the top of my head... but i had the vafc2 in my 00 S and I took it out, sold it and bought an 04 and bought a VAFC1 w/ harness if that tells you anything...

My VAFC-1 allowed me to make fuel corrections at 100 RPM increments.

The knock sensor thing seems interesting, depending on how the user / tuner reads it. If the VAFC-2 shows the number of knocks detected and / or at what RPM the knock is occurring, then that would be very usefull. The only other thing about the VAFC-2 that seems nice is that the number of fuel corrections is higher. This should allow a much better tune.

yeah forgot to mention that too... it might be hard to find a vafc1. I would get the vafc 2 if i had a choice again.

instead of being 500, 1000, 1500, 2000
it will be 1000, 1200,1400, 1600, 1800, 2000, etc.

found a version 1 at MVP Motorsports

VAFC version 1 $327

VAFC Version 2 $330

VAFC2 on Ebay $275 plus $15 shipping

Ebay is probably your best bet...
