Default VAFC Loss of VTEC

Last week I successfully installed a VAFC II unit and set the VTEC kick in at 5k rpm's. For a week the VTEC change worked perfectly.

This weekend I installed the yellow box to recalibrate the speedo, which required unhooking the battery. After doing this and reconnecting the battery, the VTEC stopped kicking in at 5k and instead kicked in at the stock 6k. The car runs identical to stock now in every way.

I ran the VAFC VTEC info check menu and it still confirmed the stock stettings, my VTEC mod settings for 5k were still there, and the rest of the initial settings were there. I didn't touch or change my wire capped ecu connections at that time, but these connections were working up until the battery disconnect. And, because at this point I couldn't draw enough power for the yellow box from the sensor wire, I disconnected the yellow box connections and went back to stock temporarily. VTEC still come sin at 6k.

The next day I re-installed the yellow box and got power from one of the ecu port wires (shared with one of the power wires from the VAFC); box now works fine. Then I double checked my VAFC and ESM connections; no issues, but I went ahead and soldered them anyway just to be safe.

Throughout all of this the change seems to have occurred when I disconnected the battery and not during all this other stuff.

Any thoughts? Also, is there a re-initilization process I have to go through with the VAFC?
