The settings are prob. wrong for your car since it is a used unit. Just unplug it from the harness that comes with the VAFC, or either set the paramaters back to 0 until you get it dyno tuned.

No, you shouldn't smell any funny smells, the wires should be hooked up right esp if someone else has used it, although you could check by matching all the little color labels with the color of the wires connect to the V-AFC. I just had mine dyno tuned yesterday, and made 7 more HP to the rear wheels.

Gernby, your cooling mods must have helped you more w/o the use of the V-AFC, or either you just got a better engine. I would love to have that Hondata insulater, but don't want to go through all that work to install it. At any rate great job on the mods.

Not sure if you are talking to me or gernby, but I have an Injen CAI, test pipe (pipe to put in place of Catyletic[sp??] converter) J's racing single exhaust. as far as engine mods go.
