VAFC II QUESTION__
At what RPMs is best to set the vtec engagement with the apexi vafc II controller?
i hear some people say 4500 rpm, some say 5000 rpm, some say 5800 rpm.
VAFC II-does it have any cons?
from my driving and from what others say, vtec kicks in at about 5800 rpm, but some say 6000 rpm.

Yes, there are varying beliefs of the exact RPM where VTEC kicks in. To be 100% sure, I recommend that you turn on the V-AFC display value for VTEC, strap the car on the dyno for a baseline run (this will also help to slow down the RPM climb), and watch the VTEC "ON / OFF" on the display and mark the exact RPM at which it occurs.
As for lowering the VTEC, I don't think I've yet read of someone with a NA car say that lowering the VTEC helped out at all. And with the FI cars, most people (other than one that I recall) found that raising VTEC created a smoother / more powerful VTEC transition.
BTW, I'm speaking from my memory of V-AFC I when saying that you can display the VTEC On/Off.
