Unhappy VAFC experts... plz help me

yes i seached hours and hours on s2ki.. coun't find any solution...

here's my story..

bought vafc 1(used) and installed by good mechanic

but after car starts... about 5 min later CEL light comes on...

same thing even i drive... about 5 min later CEL light comes on...

As soon as CEL light comes on... car goes into safe mod...

and idle is good... but as soon as i touch throttle doesn't matter how high i rev...

even with little blip... rpm comes down to almost 200rpm... just like it wants to die... and goes back to normal idle rpm... around 800-900...

so un plug battery and within 2-3 min.. i start the car again....

than it runs good... for 5 min... within 5 min.. evey thing is good...

idle, vtec all the way to 9k.... and even with blip or rev... rpm doesn't drop to

200rpm.. like safe mod...

i don't know what's going on.....

It is possible that it could be your wiring. How are the wires hooked up to your ECU harness, are the wires soldered or crimped? Try unpluging you VAFC and go for a drive to see if your problem happens again.

have you tried to initialize everything again? If everything is set to zero and cycl is 4 etc...the only thing that is left is the wiring. Maybe there is a loose connection, or maybe he mixed up one of the wires. Maybe try soldering the wires together.

I've been told whenever working with an ecu crimping is a big no no. I would solder all the connections, that's how I installed mine.

make sure the wiring is all correct...i had the similar problems with my old civic using a SAFC "hack" for my turbo and it turned out one of the wires was switched...

Solder is great.

Have you tried disconnecting the Vafc and go for a ride to see if it happens again? Have you double checked the wiring instructions?
