You can pick them up on Ebay for $300-$325 new in the box. A plug-n-play harness is not yet being produced, but will soon be available. I was considering the VAFC I, but the price difference isn't that great. Also the VAFC II has all of the features of I plus more. One of the big featues is an engine knock sensor.

I just got mine installed.
The black case is the USA version, the silver is JDM version.
You have 12 point adjustment at 100 rpm increments.
However, there seems to be no knock monitor (no wires and nothing in the manual) with the unit.
Also I don't see the 2 different settings for different paraments mentioned in the menus or manual.
So far it's cool. Great display and graphing options. Easy to use navigation buttons.

Forgive my innocence here....
What sort of gains do you get from a device like this?
Why wouldn't you set VTEC engagement real low?
When is the P&P Harness due and how difficult is the install with a P&P harness
How difficult is the install w/o the P&P harness?
They recommend professional install - do you?
What are the drawbacks/dangers to something like this?
Swet mount location Hyper!!

How expensive was your install? Was it adjusted with dyno testing as well?
I heard somewhere that you have to reset your ECU every once in a while with the VAFC installed. I guess you get good power gains at first, but as the ECU adjusts you loose power overtime, Is this true? If so, does the VAFC have to ce recalibrated with a dyno test or can you just reset the ECU?

Most gain probably 5HP peak, and 15+ at redline. If you lower the VTEC engagement point below 5700 RPMs on an NA setup, you will actually loose power.
With the Plug and Play harness, it is a snap to install. Without it, you have to splice and / or tap probably 10 wires at the ECU. It took me about 1 hour to install mine. The time and money is most significant at the dyno when you tune it.
If you set all your narrow throttle fuel corrections to 0, and set your Lo / Hi throttle position settings high enough, the ECU will not tune it out, so you won't have to reset your ECU.
