And I'm as serious as can be, we're talking brakes.
Until now I only worked with the glycol based brake fluids.
If you get some on your hand / fingers it feels "not smooth" not like oil, not greasy - if you know what I mean.
Can you get a sample of the old fluid?
You can compare it with the fresh fluid you have.
If there is a noticable difference = bad!
Someone may have used a DOT 5 fluid in your brake system.
Or, in any case, a fluid that is not compatible with DOT 3, 4 or 5.1 fluids.
Maybe regular hydraulic fluid.
This fluid is now in your ABS unit, where it will be difficult - if not impossible - to remove.
How do the brakes feel?
As firm as they did before?

I doubt someone put DOT 5 in there. I believe that the car was pretty well maintained. My clutch and brake fluids were pretty clean. Even my cabin air filter was clean.

When I do the ATE blue change over, there is always a touch of factory brake fluid left that cannot be removed. It mixes 100% with the blue and never has any little floaties
Dwight I think you have sone serious contamination there. But as with all internet pics, I could tell you more with the car in front of me.

Either way, I'm pretty sure that I sucked it all out. After each caliper I skimmed the top to suck it out before topping it off and moving on to the next caliper. By the time I was done with the last one, I didn't see anything before topping it off.
