Using an aftermarket Ignition
I was looking for a high flow cat, and found some info on aftermarket ignition (MSD SCI-L Sport Compact) Here's the link http://www.modacar.com/products/Honda/Accord/MODAIGC/
Any thoughts?
Thanks

The SCI box is meant for a distributor based ignition system. It's not compatible with the stock coils. The Stock ignition system is quite good, not giving much issue until the 15psi mark or so with a FI application.
Unless you're planning a turbo, I'd leave the stock ignition alone.
If you did require a upgraded ignition, the MSD DIS-4, or the AEM CDI have been used. The DIS-4 has been more reliable than the AEM CDI. The 2 units install the same way.

What expectations do you have for an aftermarket ignition system? Other than the ability to fire multiple times per ignition cycle per cylinder, what is there to gain? The S2000 has high voltage, direct fire, plug mounted coils. Other than bling bling, why bother with it?
