Used 155k S2000 Service Advice
Hi all,
I recently purchased an '01 S2000 with 157k mileage on everything except the engine and transmission (excluding replaceable components like tires, brakes, etc.). The engine and transmission were replaced when the car had 70k miles on it by T1 in Dallas. I'm looking for a list of things that I should be looking to replace, repair, or alter at this age of the car. I have only done basic maintenance at this point. I hope that some of y'all have experience with y'all's S2000s at this age and can help me out here. I do have the Helms manual and it is fantastic, but I would like to get a rundown of what mechanical issues people have noticed in cars of this age. Things like "the suspension gets a little less responsive and can be altered this way..." or "the seals around blah blah blah can be changed to increase this or that".
Once again, ANYTHING that I could change to keep this car running for many decades in the future is appreciated. I do understand that "everything" can be changed to do this, so let's not waste each other's time: I am looking at pertinent mechanical changes to make/keep this car running well or "like new".
Thank y'all for reading this!

Yeah, there isnt' really a lot that you'd replace before it actually breaks/leaks. Change all of the fluids, check the tires/brake pads, and then enjoy the car.
I'd replace seals and the like as you get to them.. no reason to tear the car apart beforehand.
