Urgent: Having trouble shifting into any gear.
01 w/ 70k on it. I bought it about 13k ago, shifting has always been a little notchy, but got better when I switched to the GMSFM fluid about 10k ago. Drove it earlier today, was fine.
Went out tonight to drive it, immediately noticed that it was hard to shift... Figured it was just because it was cold, drove it on the freeway, shifting to 4th and 5th it wanted to grind. [It's never ground ANY gear, up or down] Downshifting I'm having to physically pull the gear shifter much harder than I've ever had to before. Is it possible the slave cylinder is intermittently not disengaging completely? I'm really at a loss. Pedal feels normal, fluid in the resivoir is full (a little black, i flushed it about 5k ago), etc...
Please help.

If it is difficult to shift and engage all of the gears this sounds like a clutch problem. Since your reservoir is full and you flushed the system recently the first thing I'd try is to re-bleed the system. Make sure to purge all of the air out - it takes more time than you might think to remove all of the bubbles. If that doesn't work, it may be the slave or master cylinder, more typically the slave.
Cold weather will make it more difficult to shift the car, but as the car warms up, the concern should go away. I'm assuming this did not happen.

Going to check the tranny fluid and hopefully pick up a slave cylinder tomorrow... This sucks.
No change after driving on the freeway (after the car was warmed up).
Thanks
