Default Updated banjo bolt install

Well I just installed my updated banjo bolts before I put the turbo setup on and I thought I'd clear a few things up for those wanting to do it themselves.

Here is the new bolt, old bolt, and squirter:

Old bolt in squirter:

Bolt is behind the counterweight:

All you do is take out the old bolt. When you take it out, the squirter will come off with it. Put the new bolt in the squirter, start threading the new bolt back into the block. I was told that the bolt had to be "set" correctly, this confused me as for I wasn't sure how you can "set" a simple threaded bolt. Well what I realized is that the bolt is not what needs to be "set" correctly, it is the squirter. As you can see on the left side of the squirter in this picture there is a round "barb".
There is a corresponding hole in the block which this little barb will go in, screw the bolt in with an extension using your fingers until finger tight with the extension. Once you know it is in, you may now torque to 12 lb/ft.

Knowing this tip would have gave me more confidence going into the install, as I was baffled as how to "set" the bolts before install.

The install took me just a few hours and was fairly strait forward.

Hope this helps!

All MY 00-01 S2Ks have the older ones, mid year 2002 sometime Honda started using the updated ones. Not sure of the VIN though, I'm sure someone else can chime in.
