Update on squeaky noise from RR
First post: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=499943
Well I got my car at lunch. The Honda tech hates anything aftermarket and he told me it was because of the aftermarket parts on the car. I bought the car used and know that it had Eibach lowering springs. I don't know for sure if it had aftermarket struts.
The tech could not tell me if the squeak was coming from the strut or the springs. He told me lubricating anything would not help. I asked him if there was a way to tell if the strut is OEM or not. He told me no. All they told me is that I need to go back to stock and get a full assembly for the rear. That totals over 555.00 for each side Thats what I looked like I'm sure.
What I want to know is how can I tell if the strut is OEM or not. I thought they were just called shocks but they kept saying struts. Is there anyway to tell if the strut is bad or the springs?
Please help me out. I need to do something but I'm not going to buy OEM from them. I would also have to do the front too because the back would be high and the front the same lowered height.
The dealer I bought the car from didn't even know it had lowering springs and won't give me the sellers information.
Any help would be appreciated. I just want to know what I need to buy before I go replacing everything.

I will take some pics of the set up tonight to see if anyone may know differently than the tech. On the bottom part of the rears that I can see at the bottom there is something the looks like half a cup holding the strut.
I just want to know if there is a way to lube the struts to make sure they aren't just dusty or dirty.
