Unsteady Idle + Other Problems

Unsteady Idle + Other Problems
When I'm idling it is very unsteady bouncing from around .5 to 1.5 randomly and I hear pops coming out of the exhaust as well. When accelerating from a stop (normal acceleration not full throttle) the car jerks really hard while accelerating like it lurches forward then stops suddenly, then lurches forward again and then stops again and it repeats this until I get over 3.5kish RPM. It makes the car very difficult to drive, does anyone have any ideas?

Haven't checked anything yet, I wanted to know what to look for to possibly save some money. But yeah the car literally lurches forward then goes down to normal and repeats this constantly up until like 3.5k-4k RPMs. What vaccuum lines do I check?

Stickies are important, common, information for all the is put at the top of the page. In the DIY section you will find a very informative post about cleaning the IAC and a simple google search will let you know what it does. Just be sure to type Honda into the bar because some other manufacturers work differently.

That issue seems to only deal with the unsteady idle. I'm more worried about how the car is very very jerky and the lurches when accelerating from a stop. Borderline undrivable and I haven't been able to find anyone with this same issue. An example of how it feels is as if you were at a stop and floored it, then let off the gas right away, then floored it again, let off again, in like 1 second intervals and it does it nonstop.

It's almost 100% low RPM range from 1k to around 3.5k-4k. After that it kind of tapers off. Plugs are something I am going to get looked at, I just want a wide variety of things that I can tell the dealership to look for when I take it in.

swap the plugs out at home. Most common reason for this issue. 19 foot pounds so you'll need to borrow a 3/8 drive tq wrench from a friend but someone local to you should have one. No need to pay 45 bucks in labor on something that easy. If you don't try the simple stuff at home you'll pay them a one hour (pretty much standard everywhere) diagnostic fee (100 bucks roughly) plus what the plugs and labor cost after they decide that's the culprit.
