You just put new tires on the car - what is the tread depth? I've experienced similar feelings of instability on new tires - kind of a squishiness that makes the rear end feel floaty, and I think it comes from the fact that you are used to old tires with no tread and this no sway, and the new tires have a deep tread that has more play.

After some tread wears off, you may notice the car feels better. Is the rear sway motion subtle or violent?

In addition the mold release impacts the tire for a few hundred miles causing the same symptoms.

I suggest driving safely with limits for a couple hundred miles and then seeing how it feels.

you need a big wing on the back or some way to get some down force, imo.

I don't think it's anything to do with suspension setup. You'll know the difference between wondering and more down force.... or maybe not...

but I think with a wing and a bit more down force and eliminating the lift from the front, you'll be able to get little more stability.

I changed the stock tires to 245/40/17 and the rear seem to be a bit more stable, but it still does want to wiggle on highway with the top down.

I've lowered the car, it's gotten little better.

Go hit a small bump on the road at 60mph, just a small one, like change in road surface and see what your suspension is doing. You'll be able to tell if it's the downforce or your suspension geometry.

imo.

I am having some trouble reading this alignment sheet, but if I am reading it correctly, I see EXACTLY what is causing your problem.

Look at the front and rear toe. If positive values indicate toe out, you have toe out at the back, and this will case exatly the symptoms you're seeing. If negative values indicate toe out, they you have toe out at the front, and this too will cause instability. Either way, if I'm reading the sheets right, your problem is aligmnent, and specifically, toe (probably rear toe out).

If I'm not reading the sheet properly, then somebody explain it to me.

Tires new - running 245/35ZR18.
Like the other's said, with new tires, they need to be broken-in. There is a coating on the outside of the tires, I forget what it is called, but if you go too fast within the first couple a hundred miles, you could crash

I recall first getting my S, I did some short, high speeds run's, and my car felt a little bit darty. After I put 1,500-2,000 miles on the car, it started to become less darty. (Now that's a change)

I just put new tire's all the way around and it feels pretty good, a lil darty, but my car has never been aligned.

I drove a Del Sol before the S2k. The Del Sol started to leak oil which eventually leaked onto the lower control arm bushing's and eventually lead to the demise of my Del Sol's handling.

At the end, coming back from San Diego There was this one Hwy in L.A. somewhere, but my car was literally bouncing to the left and to the right on the freeway at 65 mph

If the bushing's are worn out, the car will not hold an alignment. The first couple of bump's you hit, the alignment will change.

In my case, the car was literally bouncing back and fourth.
