Unknown rattle somewhere in dashboard
Hello guys. Last week i bought my first S2000 MY00 with 148XXXkm on it. My car has a rattle somewhere in dashboard on certain RPM. Between 2000 and 5000 it start to rattle. No matter if i drive or i dont move or if the clutch is in or out. When i brake hard the noise change a little bit like the thing that rattles change its possition, but i cant hear the change of possition(if it does) only the sound is slightly different. You can slightly hear it even when idling and also it is hearable near engine. I recored a video so you can hear it. Thx guys.

Might want to try having a passenger put pressure on different areas (I.e. Brackets, panels, etc.). If it loose touching it will change the vibration frequency and you will find it.

So i was trying to determine where is it coming from. I can clearly hear it when i have my head near the pedals, but i think it is not coming from dash but from the bottom of the car. It is hard to find out since the car is too loud when i press gas to start the rattle. And also i was braking down the hill to full stop and every time i was about to stop it sounded different from normal. Like some screw or metal ball or something is rolling there. It did every time i pressed the brake but it was not related to the brakes... Tomorrow i will try to check heat shields but i think it is not the reason it rattles

had a similar rattle, it was a loose bolt behind a plastic cap on the left side of the dashboard. it can only be accessed if the door is open an the cap is removed. I removed the cap and the bolt fell out, tightened it back up and presto, no more rattle. Hope you're as lucky as i was.

Maybe something in the ventilation? Some bolt or something???
