I had to remove my valve cover this weekend and when I put the valve cover back on I discovered that there is a threaded hole towards the back of the valve cover.

I've checked and rechecked to make sure that I hadn't left out anything, and I didn't see anything that I could have possibly forgot to put on.

This is a 2007 car. Can anyone verify that there never was anything there?

I've also looked at the valve cover on 2001 and that hole doesn't even exist.

The 06 and 07 share the same valve cover. 00-05 vavle covers are differant. Clearly it looks like Honda meant to put it there. I wonder why.

it's probably used for right hand drive s2000.

The part diagram doesn't show anything there.

my dad has an 06 that i used to drive around and now i have an 07. i still wonder why that hole is there

I have a MY06, I just walked outside and looked, nothing there. Empty hole. You didn't miss anything putting it back together.

Or, in an unlikely coincidence, Honda forgot to screw in some vital part on both of your valve covers!
