A word of caution about the umbrella deal. I have a CAI on a Civic with a motor swap and have the same umbrella deal. You might want to take a close look after you install it and tighten the hose clamp.

If you take a close look at the area that seals the filter, when you tighten the hose clamp it hits on the tabs (the part that holds the umbrella) first. As you tighten it, it will actually pinch the inlet of the filter and on mine caused it to lift up (away from the intake tube) which would allow dirt to squirt past it.

Maybe I'm being paranoid but just wanted to let you know to watch for that. I cut some aluminum shim stock that fit between all the tabs to make the gap the same from the tabs to the shims.

It keeps all of the water from hitting the filter but take a look after the install and you will see what I am talking about.

Maybe it was just my filter (K&N) being fairly soft rubber that was causing it.

Good luck,
Bob

Why do you guys call this a umbrella when it's a heatshield? I guess whateva shield water from getting something wet is considered a umbrella so go figure...
