UK Oil Type?

UK Oil Type?
Hi all,
I am taking delivery of my 1st Honda S2000 tomorrow but I am unsure what manufacturer and type of oil to use. A mate of mine had a Civic Type R and he used 5w 30 (I think), am I right in thinking the S will be the same? I am confused because my mate used that type but on this board all the Americans recommend 10w 40, maybe because of the different climate over the pond? Also, what is the best manufacturer of oil have you come across?
