Default two studs broke at one time.

So I feel a little vibration in the wheel when turning right yesterday and I am only a mile away from my destination so I drive on it till then. When I get there I notice on the left front two wheel studs are broken off right next to each other. The tire place won't replace them for me as I called this morning which is bs because they used a torque-stick on them.

Just wondering If I can replace just the studs or do I need a new hub? Just let me know guys I can do the work it looks as though I can just replace the two.

Thanks

pretty sure you can have the broken studs removeed and replace. if your gonna do most of the work yourself, remove the hub and bring to shop to press out and press in new studs.

I Have never checked the clearance but you should be able to remove the wheel and rotor then just hammer them out. Slide in some new ones, put a large nut on there(bigger than the threads), then put the lugnut on there and pull the stud in with an impact. Unscrew the lugnut, remove the nut you placed on there, put on the rotor and brake caliper, then the wheel. And your all done.

I'm pretty sure you have to separate the front hub assembly to remove the studs.

no, even if you could you don't want to, all the abs stuff is there.

i'll bring down the BFH on a POS but not a nice car that you actually want to keep.

yes, you have to press the hub out. go file a complaint on BBB, torque stick is not that accurate, we used them all the time and nothing replace a well calibrated torque wrench by hand

**** well it is in a parking lot I am going to go look at and see what I think. I can have it pressed out at work but I don't want it in that lot with no wheel on the front.
