Can the motor be safely redlined to 9k at 6-8 lbs of boost from the Speedcraft? I vtec a few dozen times a day, and I'd rather not watch some large metallic object fly through the hood of my car.

I have lived in VTEC since I installed my turbo. No issues whatsoever with redlining it. As long as you're smart about the boost the kit will not have adverse effects.

That setup will work great on our our cars. The hardware and engine is all the same, the difference being the parts around the engine, ie battery, ac hard lines ect. You could easily have the ac hard lines relocated and the battery and fuse box relocated if they are in the way. It would be well worth the power that kit produces.
