Turbo Vs Supercharger?

Oh yeah, another good byproduct of using water injection is the steam it creates inside the cylinders. I never took my block apart, but I have read many accounts of people that did and they said that all carbon deposits were gone. The water helps to clean them off the valves and cylinder walls. Like I said though, I never took mine apart, but I have read this numerous times.
Water injection is nothing to "half ass" do. If you put together a crappy system, you WILL break your motor. If you have a thought out design and have plenty of safeguards, it can be a great thing. If I ever install a SC on my S2000 that I will have in less than a month(fingers crossed), I will use water injection.

Wow, YS, where did that pic come from? Were they testing a turbo for breakdown temps, or what? I can't imagine a turbo, no matter the material, lasting more than a minute or two at that kind of temp. Ti can withstand some pretty serious heat and glow without breakdown, but a Ti turbo? Now THERE'S some serious money!

One of my friends has a Toyota Celica All-Trac and his would glow like that. You could only see it at night though. But he had some fuel pump problems and he was running way too lean. Hmmm, I wonder why he blew up his motor?
