Trung, I'm also using the E-01, but not as a boost controller. Any time I tried to set the boost at a steady 7 or 8 psi, it would overboost. I bought Pappy's kit, and although he has a 5 psi spring, I usually get 6.3 to 7.3 psi. Because of this, I don't even have the boost controller function on. I just leave it in the display mode to keep an eye on TPS, Boost, and RPM's. The peak hold function also helps out. If someone does figure out the settings for the E-01 and would like to share how to keep it at 8 psi, I'd be very grateful.
First thing I would do is to make sure that you plugged the vacuum hose for the wastegate in the right spot. This may sound like a stupid comment, but you'd be surprised how people who work on these cars all the time can get that mixed up. The top nipple is for the boost controller, and the nipple on the side is the vacuum line from the turbo (or another vacuum source) to the wastegate. If you pull the top vacuum hose off, and the side one's connected to a vacuum source, the car should not overboost. Have you consulted with Wesmaster about his Profec settings?
I want to assume that you are trying to tune via the eManage. When I am WOT, I have a A/F of 11:1 or 10:1. I'm trying to head back to the dyno to try and do some more tuning, but from what I've experienced, the eManage isn't very receptive to my changes, or the stock ECU likes to tune it out. However, fperra is also running a eManage, and I think he's having very good success with it.
Also, if you've spiked to 15 psi a few times, have you done any damage to the motor? I'd think that since it wasn't tuned for that, you were running dangerously lean.

Right when I see it get to 10psi i know it will hit 15 real quick. Therefore I let off. Another way for me to know is it spikes normally at 7k rpms, thus never going pass 6k. I've babied the turbo since installing till i'm completely in the safe zone. My tuner said my car is running beatiful except till the boost spikes. He tuned my car for reliability, but says no more then 300rwhp and I'll be fine.
