Tunning VAFC w/out DYNO
I just got my Apex I VAFC and I was able to install it on my JDM Honda Integra SIR-G (I guess you guys call it an Acura Integra GSR). The only problem is that I live on an island in the caribbean called St. Lucia and there is no tunning shop with a dyno. I can't even find someone who has any experience tunning/configuring them. At present the are only three of these units on the island, two of which came installed and tuned on 2 cars imported direct from japan. Since I don't have any experience with them, I was hoping that some one would be able to help me with the configuring of this unit and the explanation of the values and what these values should be set too. The only modifications I have done to the car was the installation of a free flow muffler and installation of high flow injectors. Since the installation the of the injectors the car has been running very rich, which is why I purchased the V-AFC to adjust the air/fuel ratio. So if anyone out there has any advice for me please post it.

You probably won't find much help here for your car, but I think you are pretty hosed up. Why did you get bigger injectors? On a nearly stock setup, you are already running too rich. The V-AFC is needed to lean the mixture out, but you will need a wideband O2 sensor for that. Most people go to a dyno shop since they usually have a wideband O2.

Pick up a wideband setup and you can street tune it. Make sure you are able to acurately datalog your A/F over the RPM band at WOT. Don't worry about tuning narrow.
Make small adjustments. For information on what to do or what the settings mean, download the manual from A'PEXi.

Any idea where I can get the wideband settings or the settings that were used on another. As long as I have these setting I will be able to make ajustments to suit my car.

You mean WOT settings? You can do a search for "VAFC Library" and you will find a whole thread on them.
As I've said before, be careful.
Do you have a WBO2?

This guy is talking about an Integra how are S2000 settings going to help him? Also if you dont tune the narrow settings and they are significantly different to the WOT wont that cause hesitation off the line?

How would that cause hesitation? If you floor it off the line you're at WOT. If you ease it off the line you are in a narrow. This setting is user configurable in the VAFC. You could set WOT to be at 80% throttle.

Keep in mind that it's an Integra with bigger injectors. I doubt anyone here has settings even close to what he needs.
It really will be a case of careful street tuning with a wide band 02. But depending on how big the injectors are you may have trouble pulling enough fuel out. You may have to reduce fuel pressure.
Tell you what, fly me out there and I'll tune it for you. No charge. Oh for a holiday in the carribean!
