I just purchased a 2001 S2000 that has a few issues that had TSBs issued long ago. It has the decelerating clutch noise and needs hard top latches. The TSBs say if is out of warranty that it is up to Honda's discretion. Do you think there's ANY chance Honda will approve these?

High doubtful. TSB isn't a recall, it's a service bulletin about a known problem, directed at Honda service technicians for when someone comes in complaining about an issue.

Your best bet is to request goodwill service for the TSBs. You will be denied. Then you write Honda of America requesting additional consideration, and they may foot a % of the bill..

Any help is better than no help. The clutch is optional as it just sounds a little "ugly" with low RPM deceleration. The latches I can replace myself. I'll try it and see what happens. Thanks!

American Honda will most likely deny it,but try it anyway...and also try your local dealer for some "goodwill".

Cost nothing to try.

You gotta be nuts if you think that a dealer or Honda is gonna pay anything to repair a car that is 13-14 yrs old!
